What makes Chekoh Wraps different to other wraps on the market?

Chekoh wraps are one of the most lightweight and stretchy wraps on the market. Designed in Australia with the warm summer climate in mind, our wraps are super lightweight and breathable, and with three fabric passes, are perfect for any climate.
Our wraps are shorter in length and slimmer, with tapered ends and less bulk for you to wear. All our wraps are also designed with an ‘inbuilt’ carry pocket on one end, so small you wouldn't even notice it was there but so effective and practical for storing your wrap while out and about.
Chekoh wraps are designed not only with your style in mind, but also the safety of a secure and comfortable carry for your little one.

Rio Wrap - Chekoh Baby Carriers

Am I able to breastfeed whilst baby is in my wrap?

Yes, and we definitely encourage it! Babywearing provides a discreet option to nurse your baby, just simply loosen the tie around your waist and re-position your baby so they can attach correctly. For you and baby to nurse comfortably you may need to re-tie your wrap after feeding to position baby securely. As our Chekoh wraps are all ‘pre tie’ and do not require you to wrap with your baby in, you can also slide baby out of your wrap and nurse as normal, still wearing your wrap comfortably. Once your little one is finished feeding, simply ensure your wrap is still tied tight and place baby back in safe and securely.
Our wraps also make the perfect feeding cover, scarf or blanket when you are not wearing it.

Lotus Wrap - Chekoh Baby Carriers

I feel like my baby is too low and I’m carrying uncomfortably, am I wearing the wrap right?

As our wraps contain 5% Spandex, this comfortable stretch makes wearing your baby easier, but it is important that you tie your wrap firmly before placing your baby in. If at anytime you feel your baby has ‘dropped’ or is not held high on your chest, please remove your baby safely and re-tie your wrap.
Ensure your wrap is TIGHT - the two passes over your shoulder will stretch out to hold baby firm and high without any sagging. Also ensure the centre pass (with Chekoh tag) is firm against your chest so it can provide the correct support.
You should also make sure that each chest ‘pocket’ is spread from knee-to-knee, and baby has their knees bent higher then their bottom so that it creates a nice wide, deep seated squat for baby. This provides the correct support and positioning for a safe and comfortable carry.

Jett - Chekoh Baby Carriers

When should I carry my baby with their legs out?

It is now recommended and supported by Babywearing Consultants worldwide for babies to be carried ‘legs out’ from birth. Always ensure your baby is supported in a deep ‘M’ squat, with their knees bent above their bottom and both fabric pouches reach from behind the back of each knee for a safe wide seat.

Leopard Wrap - Chekoh Baby Carriers

What is the minimum and maximum age to carry my baby?

We recommend using your Chekoh wrap from the moment baby arrives! Babywearing provides the most womb-like environment they could be in. Little bubbas love to be all cuddled in, heart-to-heart, so start carrying your new baby right away.
There are also no belts, buckles, clips, bulky fabrics or padding involved with a Chekoh wrap, just a soft, natural carry hold for your little one.
Chekoh wraps are designed for the first 12 months of baby’s life, with a maximum weight range of up to 8-10kgs. Our comfortable four way stretch ensures a firm, snug fit and our fabrics mould to both you and baby ensuring a comfortable fit for everybody.

Can I use my Chekoh Wrap to carry my baby facing forward or on my back?

No. We do not recommend a forward facing carry or back carry when using our wraps. Please only carry your baby as per the instructions included with your wrap.

Kora Wrap - Chekoh Baby Carriers

Does one size really fit all?

Our wraps are designed to be long enough to fit any wearer, even plus-sized Mums and Dads. Our extra spandex blend fabric allows for a comfortable fit for any shape or size. The size of the wearer only determines how many times the wrap will tie around the waist.

Can I carry a premature baby safely?

Yes, baby wearing is perfect for your premmie baby, as the snug carry and mama’s heartbeat is the closest environment to inside the womb. Chekoh wraps are stretchy and will mould around both you and baby for a warm, close and organic carry. Always ensure baby is fully supported and airways and face are clear at all times.

Can I carry my twins in your wraps?

No. Due to the stretch and structure of our wraps, they are designed for carrying a single baby only.

Rio Wrap - Chekoh Baby Carriers

Can I carry my baby in a Chekoh wrap after a C-Section delivery?

Yes, as you tie your wrap under your bust, your baby sits high on your chest. Our fabric is also super soft and the weight of the carry will be distributed evenly on your shoulders and not low or near our pelvic area. Please do take extra care when tying your wrap and keep in mind your wellbeing when wearing your baby.

How do I wash my Chekoh Carrier/Where are the care instructions?

The care instructions are sewn inside the little "pocket" of the carrier. Long story short, all our wraps and slings are washed at our manufacturing facility prior to shipment. They're then packed into the plastic garment bags you receive it in, so they're clean and fresh for you. If you'd like to give it a quick clean before use, we recommend popping the carrier inside a large lingerie bag and then into the tub on a cold wash (no bleach!). Tumble dry on a low heat & gentle cycle and press with a warm iron if necessary. We also suggest washing it separately the first time, just incase the colours aren't completely colourfast.

What is the warranty information for this product?

Our goods come with a 12 month manufacturers guarantee that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Chekoh Ring Slings

What makes Chekoh Slings different to others on the market?

Chekoh Slings are made with natural super lightweight linen blend fabrics, designed with warmer climates in mind and to help eliminate overheating both the carrier and baby. Our slings also offer stylish and on trend prints and colours for you to co ordinate your outfits while still always providing a 100% safe and secure carry. Our lightweight aluminium rings are also of the highest quality, safety tested and compliant.

From what age can I wear my baby in a Sling?

We recommend using your
Chekoh Sling from the moment baby arrives! Babywearing provides the most womb-like environment they could be in. Little ones love to be all cuddled in, heart-to-heart, so start carrying your new baby right away.

Cinta Ring Sling - Chekoh Baby Carriers

What is the maximum age or weight limit for a Chekoh Sling?

We recommend a weight range up to 15kgs (approx 2yrs), this will ensure a comfortable carry for both you and baby.

Does one size really fit all?

Yes, that's the beauty of an adjustable carrier we can assure any plus size wearer up to approx women's size 20 (Australia) can carry comfortably with a Chekoh. Our smaller wearers find that tucking any extra length left in the tail, up and around the rings to provide a softer support also, so our slings are a win win for whichever size.

My baby doesn’t feel secure, am I doing it right?

Always ensure you create a nice deep seat for you little one. The bottom rail is sitting up firm against the back of baby’s knees and they are in a squat or ‘M’ position with their bottom positioned lower than their bent knees.

Bahia Ring Sling - Chekoh Baby Carriers

When should I carry my baby with their ‘legs out’?

It is now recommended and supported by certified Babywearing Consultants to have your baby’s legs out from birth. This is not always the most comfortable position for little ones so if you or your baby prefers to have their legs in and your carry is adhering to all the T.I.C.K.S Guidelines, then please enjoy.

Can I carry my baby in a forward facing position or on my back?

No. We do not recommend a forward facing carry or back carry when using our Slings. Please only carry your baby as per the instructions included with your wrap.

Can I breastfeed in a Chekoh Sling?

You certainly can, and we encourage it. Our Slings are fully adjustable so always ensure you have baby in view and airways are clear at all times. Also have your sling 100% secure. If you wish, you can also remove baby and utilise your sling as a discreet feeding cover while on the go.

Can I carry twins in a Chekoh Sling?

No. Please only carry your baby as per the instructions with your sling.
