Your Essential Hospital Bag Edit

Your Essential Hospital Bag Edit

Posted by Jessica Friend on

Whether you’re a mum-to-be or may be forgot a few things during your last delivery, we’re here to provide an essential hospital bag edit provided by real mums for mums.

Recently on our Chekoh Chatter page we asked “What did you find was the most important thing to pack in your hospital bag?”

Chekoh Mama’s from around Australia provided the answers below. Take a look an hopefully it gives you a few ideas and pointers you’re welcome.

Mimco Myer Baby Bag - Mim-Mazing

Baby Bag Inspo: Mimco Mim-Mazing Baby Bag // Colette

Firstly you’ll need a bag.

Any old bag will do but if you’re thinking of investing, think long term. Purchase a baby bag with compartments that will have your future self saying “THANK YOU!”

Iphone Extra Long Phone Cord Charger

Extra Long Phone Cord: Apple // JB HiFi

Next up is an extra long phone charger cord.

This was mentioned more than once! Essential for sending that update on how Mum and Bub are doing and of course for newborn cuddle snaps.

TOM Organic Maternity Pads

Maternity Pads: TOM Organic // Libra

Maternity pads, need we say more really?

Pana Organic Australian Chocolate

Did somebody say sugar fix?

You may feel like you've just run a marathon, so fuelling up is essential and our fuel of choice is chocolate! The good stuff for a well deserving Mama!

Kmart Slide On Slippers
Slippers/Socks: Kmart // Boody

Keep those tootsies warm, as hospitals are usually freezing and comfort is key!

Which leads us to our next point..

Cotton On Maternity Wear

 Track Pants: Cotton On Maternity

Trackpants!

The ultimate leisure wear, track pants are an essential pack to keep you warm and more importantly super comfy.

Journey Dress: Grey Stripe

Another perfect alternative for bump, birth and beyond is our Journey Dress!

Featuring discreet back access, breastfeeding friendly bust panel and pull down front to ensure you are prepared for that unforgettable first cuddle and skin-to-skin contact.

Available in Grey Stripe, Jett (a staple piece!), Leopard, Ochre and Dusk.

Bondi Wash Body Wash

Body Wash: Bondi Wash

When a hospital is your home away from home, make it as comfortable as you can.

Bring your creature comforts. Some people struggle to sleep without their own pillow, if this sounds like you - pack it in! Other essentials that Chekoh Mama’s mentioned were shampoo, conditioner, body wash and soft toilet paper.

Chekoh Baby brand new pockets with either beanie or bow!

Chekoh Baby Newborn Outfit - The Pocket - With Beanie or Bow

When you are ready to show Baby off to the rest of the world, the Chekoh pocket is the perfect announcement outfit for your little one. We even include a 'Hello, my name is...' card to capture their name.

Chekoh Pockets come with a bow or beanie style in your favourite Chekoh classic colourways - Cinta, Asha, Teal and Camel.
